Radiator hoses should be checked regularly as the radiator hoses weaken over time. If it is not replaced in time, it could affect the engine and cause the generator to overheat and fail to function properly. In extreme cases, a collapsed hose can cause an engine to burst.

How to Check Radiator Hose?

First, find the two hoses that carry the coolant between the radiator and the engine. One at the top and one at the bottom. Check the hoses of each radiator. The hose must not expand or burst, both of which could cause failure.

Secondly, squeeze the radiator hose, if the radiator hose is very weak or very hard and brittle, it needs to be replaced, especially pay attention to the bending of the hose.

Finally, look at the jig connected to the radiator hose and engine. There are 3 different types of radiator hose connections, gear clamps, tape clips and wire clips. You can adjust these types of fixtures with a screwdriver. If the radiator fixtures are corroded, they will need to be replaced.
